Top Timer app F.A.Q.

While on any timer main screen tap the menu icon (in the top left corner) and tap on “Select timer” menu item. It will take you to the timer selection screen.
Tap the menu icon, then “Color schemes”, then select preferred color scheme.

As presets, Interval Timer uses Sessions that contain Rounds (sets of exercises).

While on the main Interval Timer screen tap the “New Session” button. Enter session name and tap “OK”. New session with the default set of 8 rounds/exercises will be created.

To rename the default set, please tap on the 3 dots icon next to the set name and choose a menu item “Rename set”. Enter a new name and tap “OK”.

To add or remove rounds to and from the set, tap “-” and “+” icons next to the round number.

To change the length of rounds “Work” and “Rest” intervals, tap on displayed time and select preferred interval length.

To add exercise names to each round (round names will be displayed on the screen while the timer is running), tap on the 3 dots icon next to the set name and choose “Edit round names”. Enter round names and tap “Save”. (Also, on the “Round Names” screen you can rearrange rounds by moving them up and down, you can duplicate them by sliding them right and delete them by sliding them left.)

To save your newly created or edited session, please tap the “Save Session” button on the main screen of Interval Timer. You will be able to load any of your sessions into the timer later by tapping the “Load Session” button.

Here is an example session:

  • Session: My Friday Session
    • Set 1 - Warm Up: 5 minutes run, 30 seconds rest - 1 round.
    • Set 2 - Exercises: 20 sec work, 10 seconds rest - 8 rounds.
      • Round 1: Jumping jacks
      • Round 2: Mountain climb
      • Round 3: Push-ups
      • Round 4: Sit-ups
      • Round 5: Jumping jacks
      • Round 6: Mountain climb
      • Round 7: Push-ups
      • Round 8: Sit-ups
    • Set 3 - Cooldown: 10 minutes stretch - 1 round.
If you are using the free version of Top Timer, it will let you to save only 2 Interval Timer sessions with 3 sets each. To save more than 2 sessions, you need to either delete old ones or upgrade to Top Timer PRO, which can save an unlimited amount of sessions and sets, and also let you save your timer data to the cloud and sync it between your devices.

While on the main EMOM Timer screen, tap the “New Preset” button. Enter the preset name and tap “OK”. New preset with the default set of 8 rounds will be created.

You can change the number of rounds as needed and tap the “Save Preset” button. Preset will be saved and loaded into the timer. To load other presets, tap on the “Load Preset” button and then tap on the “Load into timer” button on the preset you would like to use.

If you are using the free version of Top Timer, it will let you save only 2 EMOM presets. To save more than 2 presets, you need to either delete old ones or upgrade to Top Timer PRO, which can save an unlimited amount of presets and also let you save your timer data to the cloud and sync it between your devices.

While on the main Countdown Timer screen, set the required time by sliding it inside the timer and tap the “+” button in the top right corner. Enter the preset name and tap “OK”.

Your new preset will be saved and displayed on the top of the screen. You can tap on any preset to load it to the timer.

If you are using the free version of Top Timer, it will let you save only 2 Countdown presets. To save more than 2 presets, you need to either delete old ones or upgrade to Top Timer PRO, which can save an unlimited amount of presets and also let you save your timer data to the cloud and sync it between your devices.

While on the main Breath Timer screen tap the “New Preset” button and on the next screen tap “Add Preset” button. Enter the preset name, set desirable length of “Breath in” (inhale), hold and “Breath out” (exhale) intervals (in seconds). Choose if you like to finish exercise after the last breath hold, hold the breath after the last “Breath in” (inhale) or hold the breath after the last “Breath out” (exhale), and tap “Save Preset”.

Your newly created preset will be saved and you will be returned to the “BREATH PRESETS” screen, where you can tap on any preset to load it to the timer.

If you are using the free version of Top Timer, it will let you save only 2 Breath presets. To save more than 2 presets, you need to either delete old ones or upgrade to Top Timer PRO, which can save an unlimited amount of presets and also let you save your timer data to the cloud and sync it between your devices.

Open the Top Timer app, tap on any timer, then tap on the menu icon in the top left corner and go to “Profile”. In the middle of the screen you will find 2 buttons to save your data to the cloud and to load it from the cloud.

On the device you have your timer data. Open the Top Timer app, tap on any timer, then tap on the menu icon in the top left corner and go to “Profile”. Please make sure you are logged in. In the middle of the screen tap on the “Save your timer data to the Cloud” button.

On the device you want to load your timer data, open the Top Timer app, tap on any timer, then tap on the menu icon in the top left corner and go to “Profile”. Please make sure you are logged in. Then in the middle of the screen tap on the “Load your timer data from the Cloud” button.

Open the Top Timer app, tap on the timer you want to change notification sounds for, then tap on the menu icon in the top left corner and go to “Sounds”. On the “Sounds” screen you will be able to preview and set sounds and sound options for available timer functionality.

Open the Top Timer app, tap on any timer, then tap on the menu icon in the top left corner and go to “Session history”. On the “Session History” screen you will be able to view all your saved workout sessions and their minimum, maximum and average lengths, as well as a bar chart sorted by days or months.

We do not store any private data until you create an account within the app.

Before the account is created the only timer data - timer presets and workout times - is stored in the app on your device only.

After you create an account within the app, you may save your timer data (presets and workout times) into the cloud, together with 3 other items of your data - your device name, email and your Top Timer account password, that is stored in encrypted format, for authentication for data back-up and sync purposes, and your purchase restoration.

Open the Top Timer app, tap on any timer, then tap on the menu icon in the top left corner and go to “Profile”. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and you will find 2 buttons to delete your data. You can delete your data and your account from the cloud only, while still keeping the timer data (presets and workout times) but not the account on your device, or you can delete your data and your account from both the cloud and your device.
